Disappointed

Don't get me wrong, I'm pleased that the rate of Classic Series Doctor Who stories on DVD has increased. What bugs me is that with word spilling forth of "The Time Warrior" and "Planet of Evil" on the cards later this year, then that means no Hartnell or Troughton adventures. Keep in mind that on many of those older stories, the restoration takes a much longer time. Plus, there are so few Troughtons available, I would hope they're being 'rationed'. Now, having said that, there are *plenty* of Hartnells to go 'round, and one would hope for at least one per year.

But the production and release schedule is based on so many things, including availabilty of actors/crew for commentaries, linking the releases to what's happening in the New Series, etc. It seemed to me that there was a big Davison dry spell there for a while, and now we've recently had and have coming up some very high-profile Davison releases. So I'm sure there will be some good b&w releases not too far off.
