Okay, I'll definitely come back later with more coherent comments, but for right now - SQUEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
This, my dear Secret Santa, is made of 100% unadulterated awesome. How, for instance, did you manage to combine my two Star Wars OTPs, plus Anakin/Obi-Wan friendship, in one incredible package???? And Padmé!! And Force bonds (or something very like them)!!! I LOVE this, and as I said, I will absolutely be back later to comment further. :D
LOL, I wasn't sure! Not about you specifically but whether my Secret Santa would capture all my favourite things about my two OTPs. Which you most certainly managed to do!
And yeah, props for getting through the opening paragraph! 'Twas HOT!! *fans self* And methinks I'll have a nice little A/O drabble waiting for you this afternoon, as a small token of my appreciation. ;)
As for a more detailed review ... there were so many things I loved about this one, but I particularly enjoy your Anakin and how he's watching over his children and protecting them from Palpatine. And, okay, I'll admit it, I squeed out loud at all the implied bonds - the bond Padmé has with her children, the bond the twins have with each other, bonds between Anakin and Obi-Wan, Obi-Wan and Padmé, Padmé and Anakin. Force bonds are sort of an obsession of mine at the moment (as you may have noticed, heh) so I was pretty excited to see something very much related to that.
Until he had closely observed the bond between a mother and child, he had not believed there
( ... )
I have to admit, I did enjoy writing Obi-Wan interacting with the kids. Obi-Wan is a gentle soul. I think he'd enjoy kids, once he got over how undisciplined they can be at times!!!
The range of (AU) realities here, very nice, and I liked the shifting emotions as Mom-Padme and Daddy-Wan reflected on their past and its baggage, as well as on their current relationship.
I read it, even though I generally avoid Obidala, but you read mine, so... yeah. Hee. (at least you kept A/O out of it!!!) Luke and Leia were adorable! Obi-Wan's interactions with them were the best part of this ♥
I hadn't been over here to check for a few days so I'm just finding your comments now. Yes, I kept A/O out if with the exception of hints to their friendship. I really need to write a hot steamy A/O fic!!
I have to say, I did enjoy writing Obi-Wan with the twins!!
