Summery: Quests for magical artifacts are never easy… especially when they uncover family secrets long ago buried with the dead.
Pairing: Arthur/Gwen and Arthur/Merlin undertones. I’ve made it canon compliant so while Arthur’s in love with Gwen, there’s heavy pre-slash going on with Merlin.

Note pt 2: This story goes AU right after 4x08 I’ve tried to make it as close to canon as I could with the AU. I needed Gwen around for the story though so I had to veer off course a bit. I warn through 4x13 because where I could, I put canon compliant references and things in as if my AU wasn’t happening and there’s potential references throughout the story that could go through 4x13.
