The topic? Homosexuality - all kinds of things about it.

Why would it piss everyone off? Because my take on it is fairly unique based on discussions with people.

With news discussing the suicide rate lately of kids who are harassed for being gay, the "Protest the Pope" rally, the "It Gets Better" campaign and Spirit Day (

I've always been interested in genetic engineering and its possibilities of "fixing" things such as deafness, blindness, being gay, etc. =) I do know about many in the deaf community who say they wouldn't want to gain the ability to hear, but there are others who would love to give it a try. If a cure for deafness was easy to access, those who didn't want to hear would still be able to turn that opportunity down.

This also makes me curious to know if science claimed to have found a way to "fix" a sexual preference, how many homosexuals would actually want to change? I will bet they would be more interested in changing the discrimination toward them than changing their own sexual orientation.
