"No, but I'll make you wish I had," Kamenashi snaps, "I cannot believe you. You can escape from Insula Gratia but you get captured in the first town you come to? What kind of soldier are you?!"

"What?!" Tegoshi squawks, "how was I supposed to know Becky is apparently a very popular lady in Kalendell?!"
CRYING FOREVER I CAN'T EVEN. THIS ENTIRE EXCHANGE. THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL THERE ARE NO WORDS. KAME. YOU JUST- KAME.!!!!!!!!!!

Yesssssssss I love how competent Becky is throughout this, fierce and perky pirate girl that she is! I like how everyone else had their part to play in saving the queen. Especially bar-fighting, drinking contest-judging Nagase :D

I enjoy Tegoshi's confidence (and his flaws, too hehe). I love all the friendships going around too with Kame and Tegoshi and Shige being a grumpy bitch whenever he's around. And for some reason Yamashita the horse lord made me think of Khal Drogo from Game of Thrones so now I am picturing Pi as a Dothraki and I am dead. Okay enough of that tangent TROLOLOL.

I love that Becky ended up with the career she really wanted. This universe is really cool and imaginative. Just a very fun read :)

i generally prefer bigger casts, so i just wanted to add in as many people as i could to get their moments in the sun! this au kind of.... ran away from me, so i decided to just go with it, eventually. thank you for commenting! :)

OH ANON, THIS IS GLORIOUS. there's such a great sense of world in this, and adventure (swashbuckling!! MAGIC) and becky is SO AMAZING. i love that she really feels like becky even though she's so different in so many ways. XD and like phrenk said, the way you keep introducing characters is just glorious! i KNEW meisa would be the queen and then she was and aaaaah! FEELINGS. :D!!!
