I swear I read this before, but then again, I read a lot of Yamapi/Maki fics. It was amazing. I love the theme of running away, and Maki is always the suspect, running away from our dear Yamapi.

God, I really love them.

I really like how you wrote how their relationship is complicated. I can see that by running away, Maki is plagued by insecurities and is only protecting herself. I love the contrasting personalities of both Yamapi and Maki - Maki is more reserved and independent whereas Yamapi is very passionate and childish (in wanting to have Maki's attention and etc). It shows that human relationships aren't always perfect so it's good to see that there is some conflict going on. It means that they have to work through their problems to understand each other and keep their relationship going.

His proposal was absolutely sweet. I love how simple it is, but cute.

Really, really, really wonderful!
I love that they are both stubborn in a sense, Yamapi with not giving up on her and Maki with holding her feelings inside. It's frustrating that it can't be worked out but all the more satisfying when the ending is happy.
