As a TORN shipper, I especially loved reading this, thanks for writing!
Tbh the way you describe Ryo and Ohkura's relationship does remind me a little of "old times", when they were younger, Ryo was more annoyable and a jerk, and Ohkura more silent and kinda 'ill-tempered' at first sight.
Maybe it was not your intention and if so, I feel sorry if that's not the case, but that's why when I read the story, I had some kind of nostalgic sensation, even though I love TORN whatever the year of the setting X3
