So what he's saying boils down to reality is an illusion because we perceive it through our own electrochemical processes? I don't buy it.

That's pretty much what I believe as well. It's also what the Gnostics believe.

I disagree with his calling reality an "illusion." It's quite tangible. If I were to whack Chopra upside the head with a baseball bat, he'd feel it even if he perceived the bat as a kitten, and all that empty space at the quantum level would suddenly be very real and very solid.

Perception is a construct. Reality exists.
