First off, sorry I didn't get a chance to comment yesterday when this went up! My work schedule has been a bit crazy, so I didn't get a chance to check the comm until today.

That being said, I was super stoked when I saw I got a space travel AU, and the fic did not disappoint at all! I absolutely adore your world building in this fic. I love that it has a bit of a Star Trek vibe with the color-coded shirts, but it's still very much it's own thing. I love the idea of space cruises and the way worked it into this. The murder-mystery aspect was also really engaging and the pacing was great. Your Massu-voice was spot-on, too, and it and all the interaction between all the NEWS boys made this fic a great read.

I also loved the cameos from Maru, Yasu, Yoko and Tsubasa! And you even worked in a Maruyama and Shige EVA joke!!! Ah, anon, you managed to sense my love of Maru and Shige's nerdy fanboy tendencies, and I love you for it. <3 Oh, and also for the crossdressing and planet names because both of those were brilliant touches. I just finished re-reading this fic, and I feel like my first comment doesn't do justice to how much I enjoyed it, so I just wanted to drop another one and thank you again for writing it for me! I think it's one of my very favorite space AUs that I've read, and I read a lot of space AUs. Definitely my favorite in JE fandom, hands down. I will totally be pimping it in the future to anyone who wants good space AU and/or NEWS/Massu-centric fic!

(The fact that I stayed up to re-read it when I should really be sleeping should really say something about how much I liked it. This fic > sleep, and I really like sleep. Thank you, anon! ♥)

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I was sad I'm not super familiar with all the shows you mentioned in your sign up, aside from Star Trek color-coding. >.> And a bit nervous about setting it all on a cruise liner, which isn't usually what people mean when they say space ships. orz Your comment made me super happy, thank you!

Ahaha, I was actually worried that I might have been too obvious with the clones. Thank you!

Anon, I don't read NEWS fic anymore, for various reasons, but you had me at "murder" and this whole fic just brought back all the nostalgic feels for my first JE fandom, packaged in an super fun space!au murder mystery romp.

I love so many things about this! From beginning with the creepy organ donors to Tegoshi the Space Marshal who doesn't eat for a reason(!) and is actually really great at his job because refusing to do something for Tegoshi is usually more trouble than simply doing what he wants. The murder and how Shige finds the bug and they do all their brainstorming and rag-tag piecing together of the clues (or, okay, Shige does most of the work but the others help) in the bath. Koyama and his sweets! The clones and how delightfully creepy the payoff is when Massu finally takes a peek. The way Massu running around the ship with clone!Tego reminds me of the old Onigokko games. How the clone!standoff ended with an Evangelion question. The satisfying book-em conclusion to the mystery of the JS Corp. Placid, and, of course, ( ... )

Hey, the first part of this comment makes me sad. XD I understand, though.

Massu's voice was too perfect for this story. >.> Thanks for commenting! I'm always happy to contribute to people's love of NEWS.

Really interesting about the setting and plot.
Pretty unnerving the scene with the frozen clones! :O
But amazing teamwork to solve the case.
Thanks a lot for sharing!
