This was lovely ♥ I adored the domesticity between Maru and Kame, Maru's patience and Kame's issues. And his talks with Ueda. And Ueda. It was truly adorable. And even though the core could've done for tons of angst, it felt light and heartwarming and I loved it ♥

Sorry that it's taken me so long to comment on this, I first read it while I was at work so I wanted to comment after I'd been able to read again properly

lol I got you on twitter, but I really do think there must have been some subtle astral connection or something, because it felt the most natural to have the fic turn out this way, and I'm glad that the ambiguity of Kame's ordeal worked! It was pretty overt in the beginning, but thought that was boring; I'm really happy to hear that it ended up being okay.

Between this and Pokemon, though, you were such a blast to write for. Thank you so much for all your prompts and points of inspiration! ♥

This is interesting, anon! I love the little details you put here and there to emphasize Kame's OCD. The relationships between Kame-'Ueda' and Kame-Maru are lovely. In the end, was 'Ueda' really exist or was he just a fragment of Kame's imagination?

Kame's OCD, while something that's often used to denote a rather one-dimensional characterization of him, is something that fascinates me, but I really wanted him to not be so dramatic about it -- which is why, I think, the details in regards to his OCD are minor. At any rate! In the end, Ueda only existed in Kame's mind, and he's able to make progress and go out into the world because really, that just means that Ueda will always be there. :D
