Sorry it took me so long to comment, bc, real life has been a TOTAL bitch ._.

It's not even just the fact that Hokku is a show-off; that Hokku will no doubt plan the loudest, most attention grabbing date that the budget will allow. That part Yasui could laugh off. It's because he's had a stupid crush on Hokku for the longest time and going on a fake date with him, regardless of how corny it is, will still twist that knife of despair.

This is SO Hokuto for me. So him.

I loved the way you wrote him and I loved the way you wrote Yasui thinking about him, all doting and frustrated and adssadaddas PERFECT.

When Yasui turns to face Hokku, admiring the silhouette of his face against the violet sky he's struck somewhere in his chest with the beauty of it all.

I was actually super excited when I saw your name on my assignment email and I really wanted to write something that you would love. The truth is that isn't anything like what I'd intended on writing - there was supposed to at least be smut...but it just didn't fit, no matter how much I tried the smut just wouldn't happen. I'm glad you liked it all the same though!!

Thank you so much for all the ideas, I started writing a few different stories from your prompts (which may one day see the light of day...maybe) but somehow this one just fell into place soonest. I'd always wanted to give the whole fake relationship thing a go (because it's like a standard story setting and needs to be done) so this gave me the push I needed to actually try starting one...and then with Gamushara and how mean they can be, it just felt right!

I really enjoyed the slow build of this fic. Yasui's crush felt a little painful and totally real, and Hokuto's date sounded so fun. very nice job!

Thank you so much!! I'm glad that the story wasn't too slow. I'm generally really bad at writing romantic fluffy feelings so there had to be a bit of angst in there >_< I'm glad it worked well though!
