Takki considers himself an emotional philanthropist. He just wants everybody to be happy, and does his utmost to encourage or console or even scold, if necessary, to make sure everyone's feeling their best.
So when they all fall apart around him, his heart actually aches with how much he wants to help. Just a couple of chocolates in the right places would fix everything, he thinks with mental anguish.
But that's not how things work. Love doesn't give way to meddling or even good intentions.
