“It’s the Roller Pirates!” one of the marine soldiers called out in fear.
A red, pink, orange, blue, green, yellow and purple flash later the group of pirates stood on the deck of the marine vessel. The skates, which allowed them to skate over the water, were gleaming on their feet. “We heard you just called port not too long ago…care to share with us?” the pirate with the red-laced skates and feathered pirate hat asked.
“That guy’s tiny even on skates! He looks bigger on the wanted posters,” one of the marines commented and thus signed his death wish.
~*~
“You should get that temper of yours in check, Kitamitsu…you always make such a mess,” Yokoo commented as the Roller Pirates watched the marine vessel they had just plundered sink. Their ship, the Fire Beat, was already taking course for the open sea again.
Kitayama shrugged, “Hey, you don’t have to clean THAT up…”
On the other end of the ship, Fujigaya was eying the fur winter coats they had taken from the marines. “Hey, Kitayama, do you actually fit into any of these? I think they’ll all be far too long!”
Swords were drawn in a matter of moments.

“I wonder how all those guys from the East Blue will be like…I heard it’s a completely different world over there,” Kikuoka asked out loud on board of the Miracle J, a large support vessel following the smaller, more agile ship the Kanjani8.
“No matter what they are like, we’ll show them what we are made of!” Bunichi looked at the people around him. “We’ll show them what West Blue has to offer!”
“Yeah!”
“We’ll be awesome and kick their asses!”
“Yeah!”
“We’ll-”
“Get Bun-chan a box so he can hold his speech from somewhere where people can see him?”
~*~
Despite his compact build, Bunichi was a force to be reckoned with and one of the Miracle J pirates with the highest bounty. His fighting techniques were efficient and quick. Most enemies weren’t able to read him because his face never betrayed his thoughts. The dreamy look made him seem vulnerable - most people didn’t live to see his features sharpen. He’d been fortunate to have trained under the leader of the Snake Pirates at some point. It had given him to study not only fighting techniques but also get to know his rivals.
“Oh hey Bun-chan!!! ‘sup???”
Sigh. Unfortunately.

Ito looked up at the dark night sky from the small, round window of his cot. He liked to look at the stars in the vast blue ocean above them.
On top of him, Bunichi shifted a little in his sleep, naked skin pressed against Ito’s comfortably. Bunichi usually fell asleep almost right after coming down from his orgasm, after they had to reluctantly separate their joined bodies again. Once they had done so, he’d wrap his arms around Ito and fall asleep, not caring about being sticky or anything else.
And as usual, Ito would smile and let him.
~*~
“Seriously, does his expression ever change?” Nakata asked and looked over to where Bunichi was helping Hamada and Kikuoka with the sails.
Ito smiled, “It does.”
Before anyone could stop him, Nakata asked, “Really? When?”
“The other time, we were allowed to join Eito on their ship and got a room for ourselves… that night I found him there wearing just his hat and nothing else, giving me a look that would’ve made the strongest marines weak …tongue, fingers and all…” Ito replied dreamily.
Around him people clutched their heads, trying to rid themselves of the disturbing(ly hot) mental images.

Shigeoka looked off into the distance and sighed for the probably sixtieth time in the past hour, Takemoto had been keeping count.
“Shige…he’ll be back…sometime…” Kotaki tried to cheer the other up somehow, unable to leave his friend wallowing in misery like this. “Stop waiting or time will just seem to pass really slowly!” Shigeoka had been down ever since Nakayama Yuma had been offered to sail with another ship - to ‘study’.
“But I cannot stop thinking of him! Stupid Yuma…! Do you hear that? STUPID YUMA!!” Shigeoka screamed at the vast blue ocean.
Somewhere on another ship, Nakayama sneezed.

Matori took off his straw hat. The breeze blew through his hair and he smiled brightly. Being a pirate and sailing the oceans was wonderful. It was even better when you were not alone.
Looking to his left, he smiled at Kusumoto brightly and wrapped his arm around the other more tightly. “I’m glad I met you, Yukito.”
“Glad I met you, too,” Kusumoto smiled back.
When Matori was about to show Kusumoto just how glad he was, a rock hit the crow’s nest.
“Watch out for enemy ships or Kusumoto comes back down now!” an angry voice called out.

Nakama Junta was a pirate, a stylish pirate, a pirate who admired the classic pirates of the previous generation, the “Great, Golden Generation” of pirates on the oceans. He had everything they had now, a ship, a crew, the clothes, swords…oh, no he didn’t have a parrot on his shoulder. But he thought that Akito’s head leaning onto his shoulder was better than some parrot - most of the time.
“Junta, do you think we’ll fight again soon? Or find some treasure? Go to new, foreign islands? You think they’ll be exciting? You think we’ll find mermaids?” Akito babbled on.
~*~
“Date, where are you leading me?” Iwamoto asked and followed his friend through the thick jungle on the island they were currently stopping at. It was night and the only source of light was the moon.
“You’ll see, Gan-chan. It’s worth it, I promise,” Miyadate smiled secretively.
They reached a clearing with a pond and waterfall. Kneeling down at the shore, Miyadate called out softly, “Shota? Are you here?”
Iwamoto watched with wide eyes when someone emerged from the waters of the pond. A beautiful young male. Yes, beautiful, he couldn’t find another word. “Date-sama!” the male hugged Miyadate happily.
~*~
“Who is this, Date? And why’s he swimming around a pond on an uninhabited island at this time of the day?” Iwamoto blinked and asked his friend, walking to the shore.
When he arrived there and knelt down, he found another male in the water, looking up at him with curious eyes. He wasn’t making any move to come up to the surface though and he…wasn’t breathing! Iwamoto reflexively reached down, grabbed the other and pulled him up.
He stared when at the fin.
“Well that should answer the question why we’re swimming at least?” Watanabe, the other merman, commented.
~*~
“It’s because you’re so short that your fin showed when he lifted you up, Sakkun…” Watanabe teased and splashed the other merman next to him. “Tiny little mermaid!”
Sakuma tried to splash the other back but his fingers couldn’t reach the water as Iwamoto was still holding him up. He looked at the human. “…care to let me…down again?” the tone of his voice softened a bit when he got a better look at Iwamoto.
Watanabe snickered, “See? I told you, you would like it. Did I promise you too much?”
“Shut up!” Sakuma used his fin to splash Watanabe.
~*~
“Date…they say if you fall in love with a mermaid you’re doomed forever…” Iwamoto looked at his friend, who was happily making out not too far away from him.
Sakuma looked up at him from where he was lying in the water again. “Who’re they? And how do they know?” His scales glittered in the moonlight.
Iwamoto replied, “The more experienced pirates…? I…don’t know how they know, though.”
Reaching up, Sakuma caressed Iwamoto’s cheek. “If a mermaid really wants…they can give up the ocean forever when their heart thinks it’s really worth it…because mermaids can die of a broken heart.”
~*~
Now that Iwamoto knew Miyadate’s little secret, the other noticed how his friend would sneak away from the ship every night they were close enough to land. He didn’t join the other again, until one day, Miyadate brought him a little bracelet back, made of mussels and sparkling little sea stones.
“Sakuma says it’s for luck and protection…said he saw you tripping up here on the ship a couple of times and getting tangled in the ropes…” his friend smiled at him. Then his expression softened a little with sympathy, “He told me he’d really like to see you again.”
~*~
Sanada attacked the left side but he was blocked. He tried again on the right, another left, straight… but none of his attacks got through, he just couldn’t land a single hit on Nozawa.
The other smirked at him and invited him in again. Sanada didn’t give up. He’d keep going until he landed a hit, or at least got somewhere close to one. He owed his pride that much at least.
It took him until night to find an opening the other’s defense. Sanada pushed the other against the door of their shared cot (gently) and kissed Nozawa senseless.

ABC looked at their Z and tried to control themselves. “It’s okay, Ryosuke, we’ll work things out somehow…” Totsuka tried to reassure their youngest member.
“I…I…” Hashimoto was starting to sniffle a bit.
“Fumito! Stop staring! Stop staring!!” Goseki tried to slap sense into Kawai.
Tsukada was openly ogling Hashimoto as well though.
ABC were dressed as pirates. Only Hashimoto was wearing…something else.
Totsuka tried to smile, “Pirates need someone to look after them when they are sick or injured, too…right?”
Hashimoto smiled again at that and posed cutely, “Nurse Hasshi! At your service! I’ll take gooooooood care of you!”
