This was awesome and super funny. I really loved the concept - fantasy creatures and dragons and hobgoblins mixed with this kind of real-world investigative/negotiating sensibility. I enjoyed all the rewinds, and of course Jimmy Mackey the Dragon King.

thank you! i had a great time writing it, and as soon as i realized i needed a douchebag i hadn't already cast to be the dragon king, the way opened up before me.

nagase befriending bears was always in the concept, though. some things are laws of the universe.
