Okay I want to comment right after reading but I am also pretty brain-dead right now so I may come back and say more later. First of all, YAY, you picked my favorite to remix! :D I loved seeing more of Akira's side of the story, ahahaha, of course the bento are only part of it. *g* His busy schedule! Aw. :D

Also Shuuji's "Yeah, sure, whatever" -- HAHAHA I LOVE YOU SHUUJI. He's so long-suffering. XD

Anyway, this was really cute and definitely put a smile on my face. I know it's not a gift exchange so it's not actually for me, but I really enjoyed reading it and seeing your take on the idea. :D

Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I was really torn between remixing this or "Warmth"--which I also love to pieces--but then the idea of Akira taking a cooking class popped into my head, and I just had to write that. :-)

"Telling the soup to be delicious for you," Akira answered promptly.

"...why?"

"Because no one wants to eat soup that isn't delicious."

"No, I meant, why are you talking to the soup at all? It can't hear you."

"Shuuji," Akira said in a reproachful tone. "I always talk to the soup, and it's always delicious. That can't be a coincidence."

Okay, and while I'm at this comm and rereading everything -- how on earth could I have forgotten to mention Akira talking to the soup?! This whole conversation put the biggest, silliest grin on my face. Never change, Akira. :D

It makes just as satisfying a read the second time around. :)
