Commissioning a suit?

Hey everyone!

EDIT: I was unable to edit the poll in order to add additional people after seeing some recommendations. Please see this post if you would like to vote!

Still in the middle of the craziness of the timeline from my last post, but plenty to catch up on as always! Lost my camera in Boston, so no dance footage to share from that weekend, but I'll be able to recover it when I return later this month as it's been picked up by the organizers of the tournament.

While I was in LA, I had the pleasure of doing some fur shopping (thanks Miles!), in the ever-elusive hunt for JD fur, which has been incredibly difficult for me to find. There was a close substitute that may work out, but I'll have to wait to see how well it works with the previous iterations of JD. The suits are getting old and have taken more than just your casual wear and tear, so to speak. I'm worried that the JD's would not last the year (the original one should've been retired LONG ago...).

Trouble is, I'm starting to find it harder and harder to find the time to get around to fursuit maintenance, let alone fursuit construction altogether! Here's where I want to feel out what the commission landscape is like - I've never commissioned a suit before, so I'd like to hear your recommendations. I've put together a quick list of fursuit makers that I know are out there, though I don't know all of them for sure. Pick out the ones you think would be good to look into!

Poll

I'm also curious what to get for the commission:
1. I could commission to have JD made from another maker. And I'd probably want to have two of them made because the dopplegagner gig seems to be a big hit with people. And after all, with it being made by the same maker, they'll *definitely* look the same, which was something I'd been trying to do with my current suits.
2. I could commission an entirely new character. I've actually been thinking it's time for a change, since JD's been around for a while - I think it's time to retire him fully and could just let him run his days out this year. Being a Leo in western zodiac and a Tiger in the Chinese zodiac (fire both ways) and formerly the NYU Bobcat, I'm thinking I ought to pay more attention to my feline connections. Tigers seem to be starting a surge, I think, so I might want to hop on that train and have one for when they really get big!

So help me out, guys! I wanna hear your feedback, it'll be really helpful!
