Thanks! I ran through it with some senior associates who were chosen to do an EMEA review, and they said it'll be a piece of cake for me 'cuz we're a lot stricter with the reports I've worked on here in the US.

So hopefully that means I'll have additional opportunities to spread my wings out there, and to enjoy my time as well!

Aw crap,
The only thing I get to do on our firm's dime is happy hour Miller Lites at some backwoods biker bar in middle-of-nowhere southwestern Jersey.

But I do have a lot of them...

Hey now, happy hours are still cool. We actually don't get that very often at all - or at least my particular team doesn't have them on company expense (maybe those that work with sexier clientele bases do... but not the sector I work in).

So when're we gonna hang and share accounting stories (likely in costume)? :D

Thanks for the well wishes! I'm certainly hoping I can still enjoy the festivities even though they're mostly over!

very cool... also, I think being sent to Europe on an expense account during a huge recession is called "success" ^_^

Yes... yes it is :D I was called into the office by my manager, and I TOTALLY thought I was going to be yelled at (there's a report that's laaaaagging horribly because the client is very delayed in getting information over, so there are portions of my work not done). But instead fist words out were "So this is going to be a random question... but are you interested in and flexible enough to join a project team in Germany? You'd have to leave Sunday."

=D Win for not being yelled at. Double win for being sent to Germany for a week!!
