Wow, glad to hear you didn't take damage (except to food). Over here on the west side of Oak Park Ave. the power flickered but stayed on. Lots of tree branches down but I think the east side got hit a lot harder than we did.
Wish we'd known you were without power -- we could have lent you some refrigerator space.
Going to DucKon on Saturday, we saw parts of DuPage were still without power, including some intersections where we spent an unusually long amount of time contemplating the lack of traffic lights. Quite a few restaurants were closed, not good for them on a Saturday night.
OP Forestry said they'd come out and look at our newly-deceased elm tree three weeks ago... now I'm betting we'll be waiting a while longer. Never a dull moment.
