My Canadian boyfriend, who lived in the UK for 7 years, still says he has a lot of difficulty understanding the nuances and rules of the British class system. He knows some things, but since it remains so far from his North American culture and upbringing, it remains, well, foreign to him.
So yeah, that girl? Is wrong.

Thank you for this comment and your wonderful insights and OMG THANK YOU!!! I swear that conversation gave me grey ass hairs (more than the three silver hairs I already have lol). It was actually a thread on ONTD in a Florence Pugh post, but LORD. I felt like I walked into the Twilight Zone. O_o
