Well, Game of Thrones is back, and with it new Valyrian material (hopefully) every week for us to analyze.

Over the last 10 months of hiatus a lot has been happening in Valyrian studies. But as I'd mentioned, it hasn't seemed worth it to report on it here, now that we have the Wiki up and running. The High Valyrian pages are getting really good, ( Read more... )

There's letagon "to tie", which fits well with the theme of frustration. Maybe a-b-letagon, the instrumental-passive stacked with the locative applicative? "To be tied down?"

Hello Zhalio, welcome back to my LJ.

That is a really good guess, but David has said that the instrumental-passive is mutually exclusive with the applicatives (that doesn't render this impossible, just unlikely.) Seems more likely that it's some other prefix, possibly with the loc.appl. as you suggest, but we don't have anything that fits yet, or at least nothing I can think of.
