This was an interesting chapter. Poor Jared whatever training and stuff he went through has left him hurt really badly. He feels like he needs to cook and earn his place or he will get booted off the ship. Obviously with his training he was expected to do things a certain way and now he's a aflounder especially when asked to eat with the rest of the crew. oh man sometimes I really wonder about Chris and poor Steve he is a saint putting up with his stuff and especially this obsession with incest and two brother especially twins. I love how protective Milo is of Jared. I agree with Jensen Jared is not weak he can sense other people's emotions and he knows how to deal with them from it. It will be a very good asset for the crew.

Jared has a lot of secrets about his time at the Academy that he is reluctant to let anyone know. He doesn't know how to take Jensen and the crew because they are so different than the people at the Academy.

Steve is an absolute saint. It must be love!

I nearly squealed when I checked on your LJ and saw you've updated Home!!! I loved it just as much as the other 99 times I've read it, and if anything it's gets better each time I read it!! I absolutely adore Chris in this with his own brand of logic on everything.

You've truly made this into a world of your own, and it's bursting with creativity and originality. I can't WAIT to read more, especially Badger. I love Milo's protectiveness and the bond that's slowly growing between Jensen and Jared. Jared...my little woobie I just wnat to hug him so badly at times.

YAY!! An update!! How do I love thee? Let me count the ways... seriously I've always wanted a good Firefly/J2 fussion and this is a lot more than I ever hoped. Jared's insecurities, Milo's protectiveness and Jensen's trust in Jared gifts, not to mention the sexual tension! I'm loving every word and hope to read more soon!

Oh, poor Jared is so fucked up by what he's gone through, this might be a long road to recovery. Hopefully Jensen will be able to help him. ;) The tension between them is so palpable, it'll surely be explosive once it breaks.

Love Milo's protectiveness as well, though he still seems somewhat untrustworthy to me. I laughed out loud at the bit about the heroic brothers from another planet going at it, as I immediately thought about Sam and Dean. :D
