Two semi-successful little arduino projects this evening.

1) I was able to get an off-board LED to fade on and off using the arduino's PWM analog output pins, using a transistor to gate 3V coming from a couple of handy AA batteries.

2) I was able to get my stepper motor to complete a full turn, but only in the most ridiculous way.

So I know I ( Read more... )

Nice. Btw, if you want to waste more time^W^W^Whave more fun, oshpark.com does great low volume printed circuit boards. They're a bit slow but $5/sq in for 3 copies of a board is hard to beat. I've got about 13 different board designs in the mail or being fabbed right now. Small prototype adaptor type things mainly.

Batchpcb.com is $2.50/sqin for two-layer boards with no minimum quantity, plus $10 setup.
