If I had an uncomplicated childhood, perhaps I'd wish to go back, but I didn't. I would never want to go back to being 8. It was a time of almost complete powerlessness against the whims of adults. I have much more freedom now than I did back then. If that also means I have to have more responsibility, I'm ok with that.
