I've been watching Teen Wolf too (and yes, it makes me feel old). I'm not really in the fandom though, because I just don't quite 'get' Sterek on a gut level - I see why others do, but I think I don't know enough about Derek to really connect - surprisingly (to me, anyway) it's poor, broken Jackson who interests me most.

The thing about Teen Wolf is that I went into it expecting shallow teenage angst and found all sorts of shades of gray, and that it was very well done. I don't know if they'll go down the Sterek road (and I hope not because I prefer these things not to be canon, it's more fun making up alternative versions than having it written in stone by a show) but if they do I'll be interested to see how they handle it, given how unexpectedly well they've done so far.

Jackson is such a well developed and complex character it makes me want to weep. And Teen Wolf does have some depth doesn't it?

I have to say that tumblr and not the show sold me on Sterek. I love their interactions in the show and some of their scenes can be viewed as UST but only if you are looking for it.

But hey ships have been built on less. :-D

I'm in firm agreement with you about Sterek not becoming canon at least not next season.
We need to find out more about Derek other then the fact that he is kinda sucky at being an alpha.
