How do I learn? AND how did I learn to learn?

I am celebrating 20 years of sobriety this week, so the topic of learning is very timely. People have been asking me all week: What have you learned in twenty-years of self-examination and no chemicals? Truly, I know less and less as I get older, I was very clever and full of absolutes when I was young, and incidentally, was much less teachable.
