I had this lovely idea to have a quiet night at home and watch a movie. I have a nice little stack of DVD's sitting here, and I picked Metropolis since I've never seen it. Bad choice. I was already a little tired, and it turns out- silent movies are not exactly the best thing for keeping you awake. I think it was about 9:00pm when I put it on,

That shins album is already played out and it hasn't even been released yet. Once it makes it from KROQ to Star 98.7 radio death will be complete.

Hey, don't kill anything off yet! I don't listen to the radio all that much anymore, so quite often it's old by the time I hear it.

Well, I'd say that's a good thing- you haven't had the album crammed in your ears yet by overzealous disc jockeys. I've all but given up on radio for that reason. As J-Rod said, not even KCRW is safe from that now.

I would recommend checking out the album when it comes out in march, it's called Wincing The Night Away.

That is what I did last night, bottle of redwine, myself, and the movies on TV. Metropolis is an awesome film, sometime when you have the energy to stay awake you should watch it.
