In my case it hasn't been alienation, just a simple lack of time, which I am not looking to have in decent supply until Friday. Anyway, I agree you have a right to put whatever you want on your LJ so long as you acknowledge the possible consequences of letting certain people see certain things.

On the other hand, other people have the right to have, and in turn not have, what they want on their LJs. I personally don't think there's anything wrong with deleting or marking private something you don't wish to keep visible to the public. I don't see how leaving it up makes you learn anything more than was learned at the first realization that it was a mistake.

Ah, people forget. If you delete it, you'll never see it again. I think most people won't remember. Obviously big mistakes won't be forgotten. But the other less than huge mistakes might be forgotten. Marking stuff private isn't bad either. The one who made the mistake will still see it whenever they come across it, so it'll be difficult to forget. If you don't forget, you might learn. MIGHT. But you're right, some people don't really learn. XD

Sensei! I'm not expecting you to comment on every entry I write! LOL! Thank you for trying though! :3 I wrote this out like I write most of my entries. It's just me thinking outloud. At the end of the entry, I just came to the conclusion that I shouldn't care. The world does not revolve around me, duh. XD And that more than anything, I should be grateful that I don't have any little smart-asses on my friend's list. My friends are overall decent and reasonable people. :)

I don't think it'll really be remembered anyway as people continue to make new entries and the old "mistakes," even if left up and public, shuffle back off the most recent entries and eventually are only found by a hunt through the calendar, at which point you'd have to remember it anyway to find ^_^;; While I can understand the frustration of people not learning from their mistakes, from my perspective, I have a hard enough time letting go of them as it is. There are rather insignificant things from ten years ago that I still beat myself up for. In some cases, a reminder is the last thing you need and it really is better to forget it and move on. Let's face it, we're human and no matter how many of our mistakes we remember, we'll continue to make them at least once in a while. XD

I don't expect myself to comment to every entry, but I have wanted to get back to the art update and go look over that stuff :) I comment when I feel inclined. Maybe I'm just one of your noisier LJ friends *giggle*

aw, but that's why I love thee! XD It's so unfortunate that people can not be like Pichi-sensei about their mistakes. The world would be so much less annoying. XD *giggles*

Well, truly I'm happy that I'm worthy of your noise, sensei. :D Squee! Hey, whenever you're bored, please do as you feel inclined. I am muchly honored by it. lol :D

Hey, you're not that hard to deal with. So many people are way worse. Like me perhaps! Besides, I write longer essays than you do sometimes heh.

I just haven't been commenting because I'm really pretty clueless about the topic and don't have anything meaningful to add.

oh ho ho! Just ask my brother and best friend. I'm a tornado. XD When opposite winds collide, I turn ugly.

Aw! I would write longer essays, but I know that even I would end up not reading the end of my essay for proofreading. (as if I proofread at all...)

Your entries aren't really long, now that I think about it...you do talk a lot about animals, but it's good cuz most of the time I don't know much about them, so your entries are very informative, thank you muchly. :)

lol! Hey, don't feel bad, I don't expect everyone to know what the heck I'm talking about. Most of the time people don't. XD I was just irritated by that lame-o on Deviantart and had to get it off my chest. I've been under a lot of stress lately, and with what's going on with my prof, well, all that just puts me on a paranoid edge. Very unhealthy, but thanks to Kush and my bro, Jes, I'm learning to cope and walk away from the darkness. XD lol!

god, I really need a cat. Or maybe a rabbit. ooh, yes a big fluffy black and white rabbit.

I agree with the deletions!!! I once (many years ago o_o) wrote something in another online journal that I thought no one knew about, and nearly destroyed a friendship. Never deleted that post. F-locked it though, hah.

And wow, I must go back and read what you say about the immigration stuff. I've been procrastinating since I have no ready source of trustworthy information about it where I am. But I'm definitely interested in your perspective since, as you say, it affects you. :)

yeowch! Yeah, folks gotta be careful with what they write on the internet or at least with what they put out publicly. If not, they just gotta be ready to face consequences. X3 yesh, f-locking/private-ing is good. X3

Although, ya also gotta really really trust your friends too. Some people love to gossip. ~_ ( ... )

*accidently posted before finishing*

In conclusion, it has been decided that illegal immigrants will play the role of scapegoats in this year's politics.

*shrugs* oh well, what can ya do against the misinformed or prejudist? X3

There always has to be a "wedge" issue which distracts from other issues which are not nearly as sensationalistic. The two bills are both try to give a very complicated issue a very simple solution that, in the end, won't solve anything, much like recent education reform.

I went though a time when I deleted my old lj stuff on this personal journal like mad after some stuff went down and even thought of abandoning/deleting it... decided it really wasn't worth it. You said it very well some time ago, "Take my advice, tons of stuff on the internet shouldn't be taken with that much seriousness. " So now I use my lj to post to pimp my fanfiction or website. LOL

On a TOTALLY unrelated note, watched Danny Phantom this weekend for the first time! I'll have to track down some more of it, I loved the style.

Seriously! It might have been better to not have brought this issue up. Wisconsin congressman must've just freaked when he saw the new influx of latino immigrants up in his state (there's been a big increase of immigration to the northern states, like Wisconsin). He probably thought, "Oh noes! They're invading us!" I dunno, did the man even do his research before he proposed that crazy ass bill? Does he know how expensive that bill is?! Did he have any idea of HOW many illegal immigrants are in the country? How much it would cost the US to do everything that's on the bill? Sheesh! Waaay too much! It ain't worth it, really! *just plain flabbergasted by the stupidity of it all ( ... )
