Insomnia and missing Mom

So many times I just want to share things in my life with her, tell her about the flowers, the funny things that Darwin does, how wonderfully things are going with Scott, and just the silly everyday stuff that we used to talk about. I'll spare you all those hoary whatever-doesn't-kill-you platitudes. I can see you've been under a good deal of stress, though, and yonder comes the fall-out from it. Why can't someday get here now? Food for thought, it may be flavourless but try the texture. What you're doing with your life now is going to make a difference in the world someday, mark my words. Whether it's somebody's little world or everybody's greater world, you're doing your bit for it wherever and whenever and whatever you're doing. It's the good old ripple effect - everything that happens in the world, and to everyone in it, has six billion contributors, and that includes you. Do what you will, when you will, and know that no matter how iotal it seems, it's making waves.

You know I'm with you on the homesickness, though. There's no shortage of for-sale signs on Shaker Hill Road....
