Mom's 83rd birthday is Friday.  She has spent the entire week in the hospital.  Still, if she is able to come home Friday morning, we shall have a birthday party.  Cake.  Balloons.  Flowers.  Gifts.  And, hopefully, prayerfully... smiles from my frail mother.
