I LOVE THIS FIC SO MUCH.
I literally read it over like 3x as soon as you turned it in. Your characterization of Joe is just perfect. Kevin and Garbo were way cute... this just had this realism about it that I really liked. I really liked seeing this through Joe's eyes.

I want something just for me, Joe.
Gah. Kevin's breakin' my heart. Lovely job with all the dialogue. And the explanations - Joe needed an explanation and they gave that to him, but we still knew he was unwanted in that room and they didn't want him to stay there for long.

Perhaps he, too, would reach the same conclusion that it seemed his older brother had come to...
Love his confusion and indecision that shows through about how to make sense of it - he has to relate it back to himself and wonder what he would do, or what he is going to do. I felt Joe feeling so strongly for Kevin and just not wanting to get in the way, in a sense.
