So go an' check 'em out!  And if you have a little extra in your pocket, please donate.

YOUR TITLE. NEVER NEVER NEVER DO THAT AGAIN.

But, yeah, I've been wanting to see the Vagina Monologues.

BUT SERIOUSLY. YOUR TITLE DOES NOT EXIST. REALLY.

I never said we couldn't do that. I was just pointing out the awesome things that this group has done to end violence against women specifically. No-one ever said that violence against men is okay, it's just that this group came to my attention, I have a lot of women on my F-list, and I thought I would share the site.

If you want to start an organizations that supports stopping all violence altogether, go right ahead. My entry is just pointing out this organization in particular that helps women. If you think that they should give all their money to things other than rape crisis centers and shelters for women, tell them that.

The thing is, though, violence against women is seen, in many cultures, as a normal, everyday, acceptable thing. Women are raped and disfigured and beaten and killed in these cultures, and the perpetrators suffer no consequences of any kind because it's accepted. In these same cultures, however, killing a man will get you thrown in jail at best, and sentenced to death at worst.
That is neither fair nor right, and you cannot tell this organization that what they're doing is great, but not good enough because they're not working to stop violence against everyone.
