Okaa-san, the Monstruitas, and I went to Canada for a few days at the end of June!  It was fun!

June 26: Packed up the car and left around 6pm.  Hit the border between 10 and 11.  Made it to Drummondville, where the Best Western that Okaa-san had reserved a room, was, but spent close to an hour driving around looking for it.  >_<;;  Finally found it ( Read more... )

founder is buried with half of his accountant ... er, what?! (oh, and don't worry, when I post about my trip i will have many odd sentences like that, but none (so far) concerning half a dead person)

The dragons exhibit was a bit like the LotR exhibit, but nowhere near as cool.

I have no idea what Atlantis episode it was. Sorry.

I'm finally DONE with MoA! It was SOOO GOOD!
... And Pidge finished it in about three days. >_<;;

See, James McGill was originally buried in a cemetary some way away from the campus. When the college officials heard that the church and yard were going to be demolished, they decided to bring Mr. McGill's earthly remains to the campus. But then there was this controversy: is this, indeed, James McGill?
So they dug him up again and did tests and conclusively proved that yes, it is indeed James McGill. But what of these extra bones?
It turns out that McGill was buried next to his accountant. The ground in the cemetary had shifted, and so when they dug up McGill, they ended up with about half his accountant.

McGill is like an oasis in the desert. It's very green, which is hard to come by in the middle of the city. I really liked it. And I'd really love to go, but I don't know, what with my grades and all ...
