No problem! I started working on it almost as soon as you posted the plot bunny. I feel like Sevangel, with several stories on the go!!

I hope you like where I'm taking these charcters. It's not all roses - going to be angsty, especially for River. She's not sexpot-River like inmost Rayne fic. she's innocent-River with a big old crush!! But it's gonna make life tough for our big old Merc...

I'm also working on romanceguru's idea of Jayne and Mal competeing for River's affections. But it's hard not to make it seem incestuous, because Mal is kind of like her Daddy!!

This is a good start, I can't wait to see what River thinks about their guests! :)

btw, how do you do that neat trick to get the english words to appear when you put your mouse over the chinese?

If you write: < acronym title = " gorgeous " > hua li < / acronym > (Without the spaces in between) it comes out like this: hua li. Write it (or paste it) in plain text mode, when you switch it to rich text, it will come up witht hte English translation.

So you put the English in speech marks and the mandarin between > and <.

The trick comes when you switch to rich text. If you use several english words in translation, you have to switch back to plain text and take out the extra speech marks that rich text mode puts in, if you wants the rich text to come out right. It WILL make sense! It takes time, but looks so cool.

When I've got it all right, I copy the whole Message, and past it in for each time a post it in another community.

Thanks! I just tried it out a few times and I think I've got the hang of it :)
I don't use much Chinese in my stories and most of the Chinese words I do use are the ones we all know, but I'm sure this will come in handy eventually :)

I hope you guys all like it. Rayne is a departure for me, I usually write Jaylee. So here goes. Maggie mixes it up a little, gives River a rival. But I won't give away how Rayne it gets. Don't be too disappointed if Maggie get's alot of Jayne's attention... River won't just let it lie, I can promise you that... So lots of angst to come, and lots of Jayne lovin' (with Maggie or with River). Maybe my next bRayne fic will be more just River and Jayne, without the added complications of this one, but it was begging to be written!!!
