Adventures in Customer Service

Here's a series of emails that I sent/recieved as a result of a terrible massage appointment on Monday:

Dear Rich,

I just came home from my massage appointment at Balance Bodywork. I chose to go there because of all the positive reviews on Citysearch, and I was excited to find a place that was convenient both to my house and my work schedule. Derek ( Read more... )

I do like mixing it up when it comes to massages. I liked Balance because it was in a good location for me, but Belmont's not bad either.

I just perused the website, and I do love the wide variety of massage Practical Massage has--I have seriously always wanted to try Thai massage and hot stone massage, but for some reason never have. They also do all the hippie-dippie energy work like chakra therapy and reiki, and I totally eat that shit up even though I'm not sure I "believe" it.

One thing that was noticeably missing, however, was a price list. How much do the massages run? Like, basic 60 minutes, and some of the fancier ones? You should totally ask them to put the prices on the website, it makes no sense to leave them off.

That IS great. (Well, I did see your fb status, so I already knew...I just didn't know the details!) One thing that strikes me as ironic though is that, you probably won't go back there. Ever. Right? And the whole point (presumably) of him refunding the money was to entice you back or at least to get referrals outta you. Oh well.

Another place where I've gone locally that was amazing was the Aveda salon on Old Lebanon road. It's called "Seraphim," I think. And you leave smelling like Aveda products. Mmm...
