More thoughts on Madrona - Crochet

While Hairpin Lace isn't technically crochet it uses the hook and either single or double crochet. There's a lot more to it than I learned at Madrona this week. The basics are all I need to get started ( Read more... )

Hmmm... hairpin lace - you know I swear that that has gotten popular around here... I am fairly certain our local Hancock's Fabric store had supplies for it. I'll be up there in the next few days and take a look. The Midwest doesn't always "go with the flow" ya know... ;)

Very cool little shop! It's in the middle of this random intersection that's got like 8 antique shops. If you ever need someone to do footwork for you at their store, let me know. :)

I totally agree with you on the dearth of projects - and it's so pretty when done right.

Maybe I'm the expection, but I seem to see hairpin looms everywhere - I too live a block from Lacis, but I've seen them other places, too.

Too bad all the projects I see aren't worth doing.
