Every so often, I have to pinch myself that an African-American has been elected president of the United States. I know I shouldn't be shocked, but it is a little bit of a jolt to the system and will take some time to get used to

The reason there's such a media blitz is that MSM is in love with Obama, if they could, they'd enshrine him as God. They helped get him elected, even if they and the Democrats don't want to admit it. We'll just have to see how good a job he can do, because the press can't help him there. Tho Chris Matthews over at MSNBC seems to think that's his job, no kidding he said they (the press) would have to help Obama during his presidency. Then again, the guy is a bit egotistical, even for a reporter

I wasn't trying to imply that Americans are barbarians at all; I would think that Canadians have been catagorized as being barbarians too at times. I know that there are some that are a little off their rockers at times, but I would never say that Americans are barbarians.

I know that not all Americans are skinheads and bigots.

I have questioned American policy, especially in the last 7 years, same as I have questioned why my own particular government has done certain things. And if the Obama administration does something stupid, I will question them too; I am not so enamoured like some that if they screw up, I wouldn't be blind to what went wrong.

Oh, you can get The Civil War through the public library; it would be much cheaper.
