I just had a scary thought.  What happens if I sneeze in the middle of the lasik surgery?

I suspect that your body movements will be arrested by whatever they give you, so it won't be possible. I have no evidence to back this up, however. Good luck! I am way too squeamish to get Lasik. I also suspect my eyes are too bad for it to work for me. :/

I don't think the valium will keep me from sneezing. However, they do hold your eyes open, and since you can't sneeze with your eyes open, maybe my problem is solved.

I'm only thinking about it because I've been sneezing a ton the last couple of days from a really annoying cold.

Ask them in advance of your appointment if it's likely to be an issue. If all else fails, bravely continue with task at hand as per this example.
