Ethnicity of Interest

I didn't go to the drag show yesterday. Instead, I played videogames with people at the Suites. But yesterday I did watch Serenity with Stephie, so now she's seen all of the Firefly universe. Like the most of the population of geekdom, she wants more. :)

Then today, on Sarah's suggestion, we went to see Stranger Than Fiction. It's really ( Read more... )

Yep, skipping a drag show, playing videogames, watching movies, having an old tv, and needing to replace an PS2 makes you a pretty bad friend.

Wait a minute, that makes no sense. Did I miss something? :)

Skipping the event that was attended by most of the friends I normally only happen to see once or twice a semester: the Anime club people who show up for different shows than I do nowadays, the friends with a completely different time-table, the people I don't seem to have much in common with besides an appreciation for non-normative behavior, etc.

I let down everyone who was looking forward to seeing me crossdressing, including the ones in my Live Journal audience. Most importantly, though, I let down my girlfriend, who gets to see me when I'm feeling most reclusive and down, who hasn't seen that I've had these lonely, melancholy, "Josh isn't social enough so he'll mope by himself" spirals for years, and who doesn't realize that even if she wasn't the person I spent the most time with that wouldn't make me spend much more time with other people.

Fortunately, I think I'm finally pulling up from this particular spiral.

Did you know sometimes you sound just like my Dad? That's not an insult, by the way.

Why be sorry? It is what it is. Learn, grow and move forward :) You are who you are, nothing wrong with you at all :)

Just buy a VCR. Hook the Wii to the VCR and the VCR to the tv. That's how I did it with my PS2 before I got my new tv. As a bonus this allows you to record your games.

That sounds like a cool solution. Maybe you'll even save enough money that way to buy your own PS2 and be able to return your Dad's so you can be a better friend to him!

Love,
Dad

er, I mean, "Anonymous" :-)

P.S. Is that television even a color set?

You should know, "Anonymous". You were playing on that television until I took it away to my room.

Come to think of it, even if you did give me back my PS2, I wouldn't have anything to play it on, now would I? Mom won't let me play it on the big living room tv any more than she would you! :-)

Love,
Dad

Stranger then Fiction was in-fact a great movie. And Timex sells the watch thats in it. Everyone needs a watch that alerts them to cute baristas.

Stephie pointed out that Timex was in the credits in the list of supporting companies.
