But the Hero Did Not Appear

I'm already planning on going to Barnes and Noble with Katy and Co. to pick up the new Harry Potter book, but I got an email at work and I must say the MU bookstore gets an A for EffortToday I dreamt I woke up, got on the internet, and one of my friends had made a cryptic, one sentence LJ post. I forget the poster or the sentence, but seriously, I ( Read more... )

I've been fighting the urge to play zelda. I just have too much to do and I know if I picked it up, I would never put it down. I really liked windwaker though. Twilight Princess comes out Nov. 1. Is your calendar marked?! heh

Actually, I should place an online preorder at some point. I usually don't, though, until about a month before release.

Gamestop.com, though it's been awhile since I've ordered anything from them. By my experience they are very prompt with games, and not-so-much with anime.

Keep quoting Missourians. It's good for business. :)

By the way, I am really enjoying Paper Mario. I suppose I'll be taking a brief hiatus from it though. The only thing I really don't like so far is the fact that your non-Mario party member can't use items.

*nod nod* Actually, in the Gamecube sequel, where your other party members have their own hit points, they can use items. I really appreciated the way they refined party members in the sequel.

I thought the camera was fine actually, but come to think of it you are the third person I know of who has commented on it. I liked it's freedom to move around a lot, and almost always had my thumb on the c-stick, but that's just me I guess. I usually don't have problems with a games camera unless it's fixed a la early Resident Evil and/or I can't control it.

What I liked most was the gameplay and how the soundtrack synched up with Link's actions. People talked bad about it because the way it looked, which is unfair because a screenshot does not do it justice in the least.

My main gripe with the camera is in the angles they picked for the 'free' camera--it's only over-the-shoulder if you are zoomed practically all the way in (meaning you take up half of the screen); otherwise it's above you with you in the exact center, so that you can see more of what's behind you than what's in front of you, which is usually not what I want. When you're going uphill, it can be especially hard to see what's around you ( ... )
