I'm sure I've said this before here, but once again I'm reminded that when people called me elitist I just responded that I was no more elitist than William F. Buckley. And how I stopped saying this because it seemed people had already forgotten who Buckley was.

I'm also now reminded of my recent LJ shredding of an anti-welfare joke, where someone sticking up for it told me it wasn't fair to use my "intelligence and education" to tear the joke apart.
