I seem to have discovered a little flaw in my most recent contest. The entries are limericks and haikus, but I'm having a hell of a time forcing a line break in the lj-poll code so they'll read as anything but text strings.
Anybody got a workaround?

A slash or stroke, /, is a punctuation mark. It is also called an oblique, diagonal, whack, separatrix, virgule, scratch comma, or slant.
[cut]
The virgule is also used to indicate a line break when quoting multiple lines from a poem, play, or headline. In this case (and only in this case), a space is placed before and after the virgule. For example: "Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks, / But bears it out even to the edge of doom".
