So, another thing last weekend was watching the first two stories of The Sarah Jane Adventures, Invasion of the Bane and Revenge of the Slitheen --

here. My feelings were initially a bit mixed after Invasion of the Bane, but overall I enjoyed both stories more than I expected, really.(
Go Sarah Jane )

SJA was fun. Now I'm thinking I might enjoy going back and watching some old Who with her as companion....

It would be interesting to see the younger Sarah Jane, and see how much she's like the SJ of the present. I still want to get you to watch more Two though! He's so cute ;-).

I saw ep 1 of SJ last Friday, and I guess I'll see ep 2 this Friday, but I was pretty meh about it. Maybe it will grow on me. More likely it will just be one of those shows I watch because it's there, which depresses me. I need more good shows. I'm rewatching Farscape at the moment, and damn. Why don't they make shows like that anymore?
Sorry. Didn't mean to rant.

I definitely liked the second story better than the first, so maybe you will as well. I have to admit that SJA, like Torchwood, totally has the "love of all things Who" advantage with me. I am not unbiased in the least right now.
Ahh, Farscape -- what a show. I've got to start rewatching that -- I always have trouble making it past the first season though. I do wish there was more on these days that I really loved, or even just looked forward to watching. There's hardly anything to even pass the time with! I'm down to Doctor Who, Doctor Who spin-offs, old Doctor Who...and Lost. And BSG, but even that's not doing it for me the way it used to. I end up turning the TV to the music channels a lot of the time -- how sad is that? It has however led me to an interest in jazz ;-).

I've never seen Torchwood (no BBCA on Cablevision - grrr), but I've seen a lot of the new DW on SciFi, and while I don't adore it, I've grown to enjoy it. And I do love the Madam Pompadour episode. I think it's the creepiness of the robots and the Doctor leaping in on horseback.
Current TV just has way too much reality crap for me. And the shows I do like either go away (Jericho) or might go away (Sarah Connor Chronicles) or aren't back yet (Eureka and Burn Notice). I'm hooked on Lost, too, though, but even that only has one more season to go. :-(
