Singles Awareness Day

My suitemates started celebrating Valentine's Day by playing Queen's "Somebody to Love" at about 1:30 this morning. And that was only the beginning. A good portion of today's Oracle was about Valentine's Day. Mostly, it was anti-Valentine's Day type stuff. I guess we're all a little bit more cynical in college. But anyway, it's not nearly as bad

I know, I was half-expecting that too! I'm glad people actually grow up after high school. Really, if spending $23 at Walgreens on a large quantity of meaningless items shows love... yikes. Oh well, I think Hallmark invented the holiday anyway to create a profit after Christmas.
