No one seems to be clear on how exactly the Hugo sponsorship deal was authorised, and no one is stepping forward to explain why they thought they had the authority to make a sponsorship deal for the Hugo Awards. The WSFS Mark Protection Committee is being silent about it. It appears that the Hugo service mark has been diluted.

My biggest concern about what now looks likely to be a Chengdu Worldcon, is if the local CCP officials are offended by something during the middle of the event and order it closed and swept of people. It is impossible to predict what might become offensive to the Chinese State.

I am actually annoyed at how badly written Doctor Who has become. Now it all has to be a bombastic galactic-stakes explosion fest. It's become far divorced from the style and nature of classic Doctor Who, with only 'hey remember this!' references. It's just sad.

Decided I'm going to make some more Black Blood of the Earth coldbrew. I make some regular filter drip cofffee, then I pour that coffee and a load of coffee beans in a blender, then after blending it, I put it in a cold brew overnight infuser, and then filter it all out next day.
