If you haven't looked into anything and were vaguely thinking of voting strictly along party lines, do the world a favor and stay home. You either take this seriously or you don't.Because agreeing with one party's position across (or almost across) the board means not taking one's voting privilege seriously? I agree that one should be informed about the issues and what each candidate/proposal/party is really supporting, but there is nothing wrong with voting straight ticket. Nor is there anything wrong with voting on a per issue basis. Both are equally valid, if that is how one chooses to exercise the right to be heard. But I don't want to start a debate here. Just voicing my opinion

It's not the voting across party lines that bothers me (or him). It's not doing research beforehand on said party and just voting for them because your family likes them, or your friends like them, or because they sound good on their commercials that bothers me. If you look into the candidates of a certain party and like them all, then more power to you.
I personally am not voting in this election -- but because I haven't adequately informed myself, not because I would or would not have voted straight ticket. It was a lower priority for me this time, because I'll only be a Michigan resident for another 8 months. And since this is not a presidential election, it will not affect Wisconsin in the next year (at least not directly). And I respect that decision a lot. You know that your choices in this election would effect Michigan for years to come. Since you're not going to be living here that long,
