Look back
"Tezuka!" The voice was commanding, harsh and hoarse - wait a minute, that’s not right. Atobe never had a /hoarse/ voice. His voice was always a perfect cultured drawl; a voice that was smooth and silky - envied by all. But - this was the first time Atobe had to let go of someone, reluctantly - without even having his say in it. Maybe that was why.
/He/ had just left him like that, without even saying a goodbye. Atobe was the one who dismissed people; it was not the other way round. To him, it was incomprehensible why the other had even done that.
The great Atobe Keigo had been sulking over the matter for five days straight. And he finally felt that he had found a solution to his problems, and so there he was, demanding the attention of only one person.
He had barged in through the door, without any thoughts.
He didn’t need them.
People gasp and heads turned to him. Mouths opened and closed rapidly. Atobe was inviting trouble. But he didn’t care. As long as Tezuka understands, things like that did not matter.
“Tezuka.” Atobe repeated forcefully, demanding the attention of the /other/.
“I brought you a gift,” Atobe paused,
“A two set hiking gear and attire and a week long trip in the Mountains with the permission to use my very own personal cottage.”
The pretty bride smiled radiantly, nodding her head daintily.
It was strange that no one stopped him yet. It was only close family members that were permitted to this room and ceremony.
Everyone knew how luxurious it was to stay in Atobe’s cottages. It was said that it was even better than living in a six star hotel.
No one but Tezuka would have understood the implicit meaning to the gift. By giving this to Tezuka, Atobe had agreed in hiking with Tezuka. An activity that he had always vehemently refused to take part in. Atobe was willing to change himself for /him/.
Atobe never liked hiking. If he had taken a liking to it, he knew that he would be the best in it. But Atobe never saw a point in climbing a mountain when he could use the helicopter if he needed to get to the peak. He disliked to get all sweaty and tired for no particular rewarding reason.
Atobe was willing to try anything for /him/ to come back to him.
It almost seemed desperate.
Love changed things.
Love had changed Atobe.
He would do anything for Tezuka.
Almost anything.
Atobe waited for him to reply.
But Tezuka never looked back.
