What I like about Arizona mentoring Alex is that, so far, they have shown Arizona being really distrustful of other people when it comes to her patients. But she trusts Alex. And that was *before* he was there for her when no one else was and she needed it the most. They work well together, without the drama and crap the other dynamics have (Cristina/Teddy, Jackson/Mark, Meredith/Derek), though, sadly, that's the reason we haven't seen one of those "in sync" moments like with the other pairings, because they always worked well in the OR, no fuss about it

That episode is totally one of my favorite episodes ever. The kid patient was witty and got along great with Alex and Alex was fantastic with the medicine and his assertiveness, even if he got nervous in the OR anyway! I understood why Arizona was skeptic over the issue, but she (and Owen, one of the main reasons why I liked him at that point) still gave Alex a chance, and then praise him on his abilities. It was purely professional, thus, no fuss about it. I think it was at that moment that Arizona's eyes shined with the possibility of Alex following in her steps. I think I will forever like her because of that
