If that's you being surly in the Green Room, I need to take my definition of surly down a notch!
This post certainly puts things into perspective, and I'd like to think all of us who made it into at least the top 30 likely sweated over our entries every week.
I know that it seems like "just a few more weeks, just a few more!", but at the same time... that 17-entry hell-trench of more than a week will do crazy things to you. That's where you'd start envying people who left earlier. :0
Congrats to both you and Pixie, and I know we'll be seeing great stuff from these Top 4.
lol... I think you might have missed some of my surliness. :-p
I'm sure that everybody sweated liek crazy over their entries. I don't discount the work that anybody did. I'm just not there standing over your shoulder watching everybody else.
lol... Hell Week was nuts but I found that I wanted to do it. I busted my butt and just barely got in under the wire but it showed and taught me something valuable. So I'm glad for the experience.
I didn't miss it, but since I didn't really disagree with you, it registered as less. Much like any form of politics or social discourse!
I busted my butt and just barely got in under the wire but it showed and taught me something valuable. So I'm glad for the experience. It might have struck me differently, if I hadn't been on vacation for most of it, but the idea of spending my time doing THAT instead of paying attention to my family made me think it was a blessing I'd gone out the earlier week. Though I'd have used my "bye" then, if I hadn't. But still. ;)
I was glad to see you make the deadline for the last round, because I noticed that it was very quiet up until the last half-hour before launch. :0
Thank you for all your kind words sweetheart. You mean the world to me. I'm sorry I've flipped out over you sacrificing for me, this isn't easy. But I'm trying to not be so negative because I appreciate your support so much. I appreciate it and I appreciate you.
I know you've got other things going and I'm super proud of you. I really want to see you succeed in your dreams. I'm glad you're confident enough to fight for it. You're amazing <3
And I think you're pretty amazing honey. I wouldn't have done what I did if i didn't think so. You earned your spot. You deserve it. Now fight. I loves you. *HUGS*
Funny......I don't think I can recall a single time when I thought you were being surly, grumpy, or otherwise uncool. Then again, I didn't get into the social aspect of Idol nearly as much as everyone else did, so that may be part of the issue.
Nevertheless, I've enjoyed reading your stuff quite a bit. Now I just hope your sweetie does well.

I just wish you had listened to me and stayed in. I'm your biggest fan and I see how many people wanted you to go all the way. Me included.
