The inspiration for this story, "Poor Bibi," is a terrifying piece of fiction. It creeps me right the hell out. That's what I was trying to convey here, without turning Matt into a complete a-hole. I like Matt too, but the idea of an evil/amoral telepath is very scary. His 5YG character showed a lot of that, so I'm pleased it came through! Thank you so much for commenting!

Yeah, 'tis not. One must get thee hence to the library or book store and check out/buy the book Haunted: Tales of the Grotesque, by Joyce Carol Oates. It's a collection of short stories.
