I love this! Love it, love it, love it! Squee! I love gore more than is healthy and this was so skin crawling-ly gruesome (definitely a compliment, btw). I adore psycho sadistic Luke and he really doesn't get written enough.

Not evil or good, just powerful and unstoppable, wherever and wherever he happened to be. Wherever they happened to be.
I really enjoy this attitude from Luke, as I think it's very IC with who he is; same with: Sylar had actually been impressed with him. This was being like being the master of the goddamned universe.

Yeah, I was talking with brighteyed_jill this morning and described this as a piece of "torture porn." I recall an incident a few years ago when Saw II was coming out on DVD on Valentine's Day. I had some friends over when an ad for it came up on TV, and they were like, "Who the heck would want a movie like that for Valentine's Day?" I raised my hand proudly and said, "I would!" Yes, I'm weird. My husband, who doesn't even like gore, actually got it for me. <3

I'm so glad you liked the characterization! Luke seems like he would go that route, given the right motivation. Sylar is excellent motivation.

Man, if I had decided to go the porn route for this story, then yeah, Sylar is breaking all kinds of laws to get Luke to the nearest motel for a "reward" session. Srsly.

Such wonderfully disgusting and vivid descriptions =o I think this caused me to lose my appetite as I was eating lunch. Well done! I just adore Luke when he's being psycho, in check but psychotic none the less. Well done!! =D

Hee hee! Glad you liked the descriptions. In between working in the medical field for several years and a great love of horror/slasher films, I do like to bring the gore. And Luke would be a great psycho if Sylar had decided to work with him a bit more instead of abandon him for his lame-o dad. (Lord, I'm championing an underage serial killer. I'm going straight to the special hell.)

I wonder if anyone else is gonna write for the prompt and also have sadistic!Luke, if no one else turns in a fic you win by default! Also your fic is very awesome, so it would be a good win none the less. Though now i'm wondering what is going through Sylar's head at seeing this transformation in Luke. On the show he only killed once, and even then it was out of instinct or panic, and the only hint we get at his sadistic nature is what he implies. (saying he fucked with people's pacemakers, wanting to charbroil agents, not being afraid of death, etc.) To actually see Luke torture someone might revise someone's opinion of him. ^_^

I was just perusing the lukexsylar community and saw this prompt all abandoned and alone. I had to do something with it, and Luke going the route of power, in the way Sylar has shown him, just seemed to be the route to go. The kid wants approval and power, and after cutting all ties with his former life, I think he'd eventually start to go completely to the dark side.

This is ace! I love how evil Luke is, and how he's really taken Syar's lessons to heart. He remembers everything Sylar's taught him, and puts it to good use.

Love your descriptions of the torture--so vivid, and so very Luke too. And this line: He preferred what Sylar had called himself when they’d first met, “force of nature.” Not evil or good, just powerful and unstoppable
Wonderful. A perfect description for the both of them.

The ending was wondrful--Luke, full of euphoria but not because he's killed the agent, but because he's impressed Sylar. He's got the validation he was looking for. Great!
